Additional Funding in Budget For Norwalk & New Canaan
I am proud to have worked with my colleagues in our delegation to secure additional state funding for the City of Norwalk and New Canaan.
The overall bipartisan budget package allocates $190 million in direct support for Connecticut public schools and $100 million to help mitigate local tax increases.
Norwalk received $1,959,389 in supplemental education aid and $1,432,992 in town aid for a total of $3,2392,381 increase in state funding for the fiscal year 2027 budget adjustment.
The funding reflects the House strong commitment to prioritizing education and delivering essential assistance to municipalities.
New Canaan received $59,493 in education aid and $14,857 in town aid for a total of $74,350 increase.
