Funding Secured for Affordable Rides in Milford

May 28, 2026

After months of negotiation, House Democrats worked across the aisle to pass a bipartisan budget proving that compromise still works and that leadership at the Capitol is committed to delivering results for communities like Milford.

This budget secures $10.5 million in funding for microtransit services across the state, including Milford Micro. The program provides reliable transportation for residents who may not have access to a car and need help getting to work, medical appointments, grocery stores, and other essential destinations.

Milford Micro offers affordable, on-demand rides with trained drivers on accessible vans and sedans all over Milford. For just $3 per ride, passengers receive a convenient 10-minute pickup window after requesting service.

Riders can request a ride by visiting the Milford Micro website here, using the Milford Micro app, or calling (203) 916-9339.

Service hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 6 p.m. – 12 a.m.
  • Friday – Saturday : 6 p.m. – 1 a.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The state’s microtransit program is available in 18 cities and towns across Connecticut, helping expand access, increase mobility, and strengthen local economies. I’m proud we were able to secure funding that supports Milford.
