CT Hero Act Passes House of Representatives

National Distracted Driving Awareness Month
April 25, 2025April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month and the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has launched a statewide distracted Driving Awareness and Enforcement Campaign to Keep Connecticut Roads Safe.
May 7 Deadline Approaching to Secure REAL ID
April 23, 2025Starting Wednesday, May 7, you will need a REAL ID, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Passport Card to board domestic flights or access certain federal facilities (such as military bases and other federal buildings).

Bond Funds for New Haven
April 16, 2025Last Friday, the State Bond Commission approved over $9.5 million in projects in the Elm City. This funding will support critical community projects in New Haven. These projects focus on neighborhood revitalization, youth programming, affordable housing, and park improvements.
I am proud to be a member of the legislature’s General Bonding Subcommittee, which puts me in a position to help advocate for and support projects that benefit our community and state.
Encouraging Homeownership
April 16, 2025Three new state housing programs are designed to help increase homeownership opportunities throughout Connecticut.
The state is investing $30 million into the new "CT Home Funds" program to provide qualifying residents and developers with grants and loans for home improvement, rehabilitation as well as new construction.
Homeownership is not only a life goal of working families, but it helps create stable and strong communities.
State Helping with Medical Debt
April 9, 2025A new state program is already helping thousands of Connecticut residents eliminate crushing debt from outstanding medical bills.
Under a recently announced partnership between the state and the national non-profit Undue Medical Debt, almost 23,000 Connecticut residents are having $30 million of medical bill debt completely erased.
