This year I am co-sponsoring legislation that will ensure Connecticut remains one of the best places to live by making the state more affordable for both recent college graduates and senior citizens.

Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and it is important that we support them, like we do with our large corporations. Together we must focus on promoting job growth and encouraging economic development. These bills are pro-business, pro-job growth policies that are top priorities for House Democrats.

It was a real pleasure to join House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz at the Connecticut Alliance of YMCAs legislative forum.

In Connecticut, median annual pay for a woman who holds a full-time, year-round job is $50,706 while median annual pay for a man who holds a full-time, year-round job is $60,385.

I was proud to host "Have a Harc Day" at the Legislative Office Building.  Harc participants, families and Harc staff joined us for a roundtable discussion on the important programs and services Harc provides.

It was a joy to speak with CT radio legend Brad Davis and Dan LoVallo. Brad and Dan may have been the first ones in the Capitol today....they were live at 5am!

Hundreds our constituents with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families came to the State Capitol for the Arc Connecticut’s 4th Annual Family Hearing Day to advocate for their full inclusion and participation in their communities.
