We produced a 2027 budget providing more than $300 million in relief for cities, towns, and schools. We also passed two pieces of legislation to position Connecticut as a national leader in protecting residents in the digital age.

We passed a bill making meaningful investments in our workforce including support for police, firefighters, veterans, nurses, teachers, and much more.

The House passed a bill to strengthen, modernize, and protect our democracy to ensure voting is safe, secure, and accessible. The annual Puerto Rican Parade in Hartford is returning to downtown Hartford.

The House recently passed legislation to strengthen Connecticut’s tire stewardship program by requiring retail stores to fully participate by July 1, 2027.

There are free, reliable services available for those filling taxes before the deadline. I will host a vibrant community fair highlighting free programs and services in the Hartford area.

I strongly support the efforts of House Speaker Matt Ritter, Majority Leader Jason Rojas, and our legislative colleagues to increase education funding for cities and towns across Connecticut.

The governor has signed a bill into law strengthening election security. It was a privilege to a firefighter for his unwavering commitment to Hartford.
