Funding to Improve West Hartford Sidewalks
My colleagues in the West Hartford Delegation and I applaud the state for selecting our town for a $697,000 grant to make our sidewalks more accessible. The project will include new sidewalk ramps and enhanced pedestrian routes, which make it easier and safer to navigate our community for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users.

Improved sidewalks will encourage more people to use this new, healthy, and environmentally sustainable mode of travel. It will also increase foot traffic and give our community and small businesses more opportunities to thrive. This is yet another step toward further safety and economic development in our amazing town.
The funds come from the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Community Connectivity Grant Program, which provided more than $12 million in grants to 17 towns and cities throughout Connecticut for similar projects.

Legislative Town Hall & Constituent Survey
I would like to thank everyone who came out to the West Hartford Delegation Legislative Wrap-Up in July. Sen. Derek Slap, Rep. Jillian Gilchrest, Rep. Tammy Exum, Rep. Kate Farrar and I discussed the bills we passed into law and other proposed legislation we still hope to get across the finish line in the near future.
As we look ahead, I remain committed to working tirelessly to ensure that our community continues to thrive and that your voices are heard in the halls of government. I encourage you to take my 2024 constituent survey where you can share your views on key issues affecting Hartford and West Hartford.

I do my best work when I hear from you. This survey is an opportunity to voice your priorities, provide feedback, and suggest bill ideas for future legislative sessions. This is democracy in action, and I encourage everyone to take part!
