Small Business Saturday Events

Small Business Saturday encourages consumers nationwide to buy local and celebrate small businesses. Communities throughout Connecticut are hosting special events and promotions to encourage residents to shop small.  If you don’t see your town listed below contact your local chamber of commerce for more information about events happening in your town.

NEW HAVEN - Town Green Special Services will be putting out complimentary two-hour parking for 200 parking spots marked with shop small meter bags downtown. They join the Shops at Yale, which will provide 4-hour free parking for consumers who visit one of the participating shops and spend $25 or more from Nov. 25 through Dec. 25. Shops will also have festive events and promotions including an ice carving demonstration and free popcorn at INFO New Haven Visitors Center

SHELTON - The shops at the Conti building in downtown Shelton are running several promotions. Learn more here.

GLASTONBURY - Nearly 40 shops and restaurants in total are running promotions. Shoppers can pick up a brochure at the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce office, or at participating shops. As shoppers visit any of the merchants from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., they receive a stamp for every $10 that they spend. At the end of their shopping, the stamped brochures are returned to the chamber, where a raffle ticket will be given for each stamp, and will be entered into raffle drawings, with several prizes donated by local vendors – each valued at $40 or more.
