The Push to Establish a Halfway House for Women in Greater New Haven

Although bill HB 5204,which would have established a halfway house in New Haven for female ex-offenders, failed to move forward for consideration to the Judiciary Committee, I will continue to seek the facility's establishment to help those released from the Department of Corrections transition into the community.

Shelter For The Homeless Grant

The Shelter for the Homeless, which operates Pacific House emergency men’s shelter, and develops and manages deeply affordable supportive housing as an avenue out of homelessness, received a $217,928 grant from Connecticut’s Nonprofit Grant Program.
