I am pleased to announce the launching of Passport to Parks Program, a new initiative that will support services at our local state parks while allowing free access to Connecticut residents and their families.

In a bipartisan vote the House of Representatives voted 130-3 to restore $54 million in funding to the Medicare Savings Program. Following the House vote, the Senate also voted 32-1 in concurrence with the House to restore funding to this important program.

The Office of Policy and Management has announced that residents enrolled in the state’s Renter’s Rebate program are expected to receive their checks within the next several days.

Educational attainment is one of the most important factors of a thriving society, economy and healthy communities. As a former educator, I am certain we are making a great investment in Connecticut’s future with this latest round of funding.
