Meet with Your Elected Officials

March 13, 2019

There are several opportunities for you to meet with me in the coming weeks.

I encourage you to take advantage of these events to share your concerns, questions and thoughts on state and local issues.  We will be faced with many tough decisions this session, and we must hear from constituents so that we may serve you better and advocate for the things you find most important.

The legislative process works best when residents are engaged and informed, and I hope that you will attend either of these opportunities to also hear about what is happening at the state Capitol.

On Friday, March 15, I will join State Senator Matt Lesser and State Representatives Rick Lopes and Gary Turco for a Community Conversation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Newington Senior and Disabled Center, 120 Cedar Street.

If you cannot attend this event, I will hold a Coffee Hour at Bob’s Coffee Shop, 33 New Britain Ave, Rocky Hill, on Thursday, April 4 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Coffee will be served.

I hope to see you there!

During yesterday's session, the legislature's Veterans Affairs Committee celebrated 100 years of the American Legion.  Members of the Connecticut American Legion, and our men and women in uniform and Capitol Police Officers with their K-9's attended the ceremony.
