The failed override of Stamford’s pet shop ban and the recent opening of a new store in Danbury expose the same fundamental problem: Connecticut’s state law is unclear, and that ambiguity is putting municipalities, families, and animals at risk.

As we welcome a new year, several laws passed in the 2025 legislative session will take effect on January 1, 2026.

As we head into the start of the 2026 legislative session in February, I’m hosting Community Office Hours to hear directly from you and make sure your priorities, concerns, and questions are part of the conversation.

I greatly appreciate Inside Investigator covering the special session housing bill and including my perspective. Connecticut needs more housing, but we also need honesty about what’s happening on the ground.

Connecticut residents are exhausted by high electric bills and frustrated every time they hear another proposal from Eversource that shifts blame without addressing the root issues.

I’m excited to share something meaningful with you and invite you to be part of it.

On Saturday, December 13th, I’m hosting the Fresh Start Fair at Michael’s Tap Room in Bethel from 11 AM to 3 PM, in partnership with the Bethel Chamber of Commerce and Bethel Economic Development. Together, we’re bringing local employers, training programs, youth organizations, and community partners under one roof to help residents explore job opportunities, new skills, mentorship, and second-chance support.

Electric rates will increase on January 1, and I want to clearly explain why and what we’re doing about it.
