It’s been an amazing week as we celebrate Women’s History Month around Connecticut. March is a time to celebrate women who have inspired change throughout history and to recognize those who continue to fight for the fair and equitable treatment of women and girls around the world.

I am proud to have voted to pass a measure to fully fund school lunches for the rest of the academic year.

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. More than 14,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer each year, but the disease is preventable with vaccination and appropriate screening.

With many families in Connecticut facing added financial strain due to rising prices, the legislature went into special session earlier this week to provide some relief.
