November 3, 2023Hi 57th District! I hope things are settling down post-Halloween. I saw some adorable and creative photos of kids and adults alike in their costumes.
Remember this weekend we "fall back" an hour (2 a.m. on Sunday), but if you have children or pets, you probably won't gain an hour of sleep! While cell phones and computers should automatically update, make sure you change clocks in your home - the ones that often are forgotten, like the kitchen clock, stove clock, and perhaps a clock radio. I wish all good luck this weekend and prepare for darkness before 5 p.m. At least it won't be really cold and rainy this weekend.

October 19, 2023I have a lot of information to share with you - from farmland grants for several farms in the 57th and a State Bond Commission approval for a local library to Halloween events & a food drive this weekend in memory of a beloved community member.
Vernon Delegation to Host Food Drive in Memory of Bryan Flint Sr.
October 11, 2023RAIN OR SHINE! The main food drive, which will benefit The Cornerstone Foundation, will be held on Oct. 21 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at St. Bernard Church at 25 St. Bernard Terrace in Vernon. If you can’t make it on October 21, starting Oct. 10, food donation boxes will be placed at Vernon Town Hall (14 Park Place), Rockville Public Library (52 Union St., Vernon), and St. Bernard Church. The boxes will be in place until Oct. 20.
