A number of new laws that my colleagues and I worked on during the 2023 legislative session to implement meaningful change will take effect in Connecticut on July 1.

The Democrats and Republicans squared off in the Second Annual CGA Kickball Classic charity game to raise funds for the Q Fund and the SARAH Foundation on May 1, in memory of two of our own.

Recently, I had the pleasure of serving as a keynote at Jackson Laboratories in Farmington. The focus was advancing the voices of women in STEM to policy makers and making their voices heard in policy.

I'm proud to announce that Ellington Public Schools will be receiving $3.7 million for upgrades to air filtration systems in several of the schools. It's part of a larger $56 million statewide investment to improve heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for public schools.

I'm happy to report that Ellington has received $3.7 million for upgrades to air filtration systems at Center School, Ellington Middle School, and Ellington High School. Vernon and East Windsor will be receiving arts grants as well.
