Last year, I voted for the future of our communities by establishing the $875 million Community Investment Fund (CIF). This is a transformational opportunity to invest in underserved communities in Connecticut through economic development and small business, education, and infrastructure projects.

In our final day of the legislative session, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed SB 350, recognizing Juneteenth as a state holiday. 
 

This week another great bill passed the Connecticut House of Representatives. The passage of HB 5045 is a big step to making sure that every child in CT is safe from lead. Big thanks to Center for Childrens Advocacy for making this a priority. 

Senior Citizens remain a vulnerable population, with many regularly relying on meal delivery services. The House just passed HB 5231 to collect important information to ensure we are providing nutritional resources to those who need it.

Legislation was recently signed into law making all public transportation FREE in Connecticut throughout April, May and June of 2022. It's a great opportunity to save money at the pump and explore the benefits of public transportation.

The State Bond Commission is anticipated to approve $1.3 million for the creation of the Thames River Innovation Center, which will be located at 92 Eugene O’Neill Drive and will provide job training, apprenticeships, and business development opportunities for workers and entrepreneurs in our region.
