Over the past two years, Connecticut, like many states across our country, has experienced an uptick in juvenile motor vehicle thefts and other criminal activity. I heard your calls for swift action and responded by leading bipartisan discussions to develop smart juvenile justice reforms. I'm pleased to share that legislation addressing the pandemic-driven uptick in juvenile crime has been signed into law.

Due to low rates of rainfall and unusually high temperatures this season, Connecticut's Interagency Drought Working Group has declared all eight Connecticut counties are experiencing Stage 2 Drought conditions.

I am pleased to share that Covered Connecticut has expanded to allow adults without children to apply for the program and will now provide dental coverage and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefits.

Students looking to take advantage of the Pledge to Advance Connecticut (PACT) program are encouraged to apply by Friday, July 15.

Tomorrow, July 7, the Department of Revenue Services will host a webinar to discuss the 2022 Connecticut Child Tax Payment. If you would like to learn more about the payments, we passed in this year's budget adjustment, I encourage you to participate.

The Connecticut Summer at the Museum program is returning for the 2022 summer season. Starting Friday, July 1, all children and one accompanying adult will receive free admission to over 90 museums across Connecticut. This program will be offered through September 6th to all Connecticut children, ages 18 and under.
