Thank you UConn’s Puerto Rican and Latin@s Studies Project for inviting the Latino legislators to a legislative panel discussion celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

I am pleased and grateful to New Britain’s wonderful community for joining us during the Puerto Rican Social & Cultural Festival to help raise funds for our Puerto Rican brothers and sisters who were hit by Hurricane Irma.

Now is the time to start thinking about applying for heating assistance. We are only a month or so away from cold weather. If you are eligible for home heating assistance, this program is here to help you and your family stay warm.

I am pleased that after years of hard work, the much anticipated Borinqueneers Memorial is getting off the ground.
