The Tax Collector for the Town of Windsor wishes to inform taxpayers that supplemental motor vehicle taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2022 are due in full January 1, 2024 and payable without penalty by February 1, 2024. These tax bills are for vehicles registered between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.
Unpaid taxes will be considered delinquent on February 2, 2024. On that date interest will be charged from the original due date of January 1, 2024 (3%). Interest is charged at a rate of 18% per year, with a minimum of $2.00.
Taxpayers who have not received these tax bills by January 1, 2024, should contact the Tax Office at 860-285-1810 to obtain a copy.
Tax bills are scheduled to be mailed on December 22, 2023.
You can pay for free online with an electronic check, with your debit card for a fee of $2.95, or with your credit card for a convenience fee of 2.5%.
Tax office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. |
