Connecticut has an innovative economy. I’m glad to report that Connecticut is ranked ninth in the U.S. for technical innovation. That’s according to WalletHub, a personal finance website.

I spoke at Retired Teachers Lobby Day at the State Capitol in Hartford. The annual event is hosted by ARTC (Association of Retired Teachers of Connecticut).

The state is working to bring back small shell fishing operations in Connecticut which will grow our economy. Connecticut now owns 900 acres around the thimble islands, an area that has been fished for centuries.

In order to keep the flow of legislation moving, the House holds technical sessions each day. On Friday, I was acting-House Majority Leader. Thanks to Majority Leader Matt Ritter for the opportunity...and the desk.
