Our state’s small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They offer jobs, economic growth and highlight the best Connecticut has to offer. As your state representative, I believe we can do more to better support our small business owners and employees here in Connecticut.

Rep. Governor Lamont has presented his budget proposal and for the next few months Representative Haddad will work with colleagues to examine it, negotiate the necessary changes and ultimately pass a final budget that meets the needs of Connecticut.

House Speaker Joe Aresimowicz announced today that he will reappoint Rep. Gregg Haddad to another term as House chairman of the legislature’s Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee when the General Assembly’s 2019 session begins Wednesday, Jan. 9.
