I am honored to chair this committee this legislative session and to be able to play a role in facilitating the appointment of key positions that have a direct impact on Connecticut residents. My thoughts on the opening of the 2021 legislative session.

Representative John-Michael Parker (D-Madison/Durham) was sworn in Wednesday to represent the 101st House District serving Madison and Durham for the General Assembly's 2021-2022 session.

Connecticut will be the first state in the nation to require all high schools to offer courses on African-American, Black, Puerto Rican, and Latino studies. High schools will be required to offer these courses by Fall 2022.
