On my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It,” we had a couple of guests tackle two different topics. Musician David Lefty Foster previewed the big show on the Shaboo Stage in Willimantic. Lori Brown from the League of Conservation Voters then joined us to talk about environmental bills that are on the table.

We are delivering on key legislative priorities this session by addressing specific concerns affecting our Intellectually, Developmentally Disabled (IDD) population, which has been lacking adequate funding and services for far too long.

On my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It,” we highlighted the importance of addressing the mental health needs for adults and children as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

We talked about the history and importance of Mother's Day on my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It.” The first woman to give birth at Windham Hospital was back in 1933. Unfortunately, the hospital is not providing childbirth services anymore.

Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM) increases awareness about the vital role mental health plays in our overall health and well-being.

On my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It," we congratulated former Windham Center Fire Chief Lloyd Niles for his recent induction into the Connecticut Firefighters Association Hall of Fame (HOF).

We talked about a black man’s wartime experience during the Holocaust on my weekly public affairs show, “Let’s Talk About It.” Author Mary L. Romney-Schaab uncovered her father’s survival story in a moving book entitled “An Afro-Caribbean in the Nazi Era, from Papiamentu to German.”
