Every year it is my honor to host the Manufacturer ConneCTion Fair, which brings together manufacturers from across our state and connects them with the brightest minds of the next generation of innovators.

I think we had our best one yet this year as I introduced the first ever college career and internship fair, which featured on-the-spot interviews for internships and jobs.

Yesterday was an important day at the State Capitol.

I was joined by my Committee on Children Co-Chair Sen. Ceci Maher, Governor Ned Lamont, Department of Children and Families Commissioner Jodi Hill-Lilly, and others to announce major reforms to the Short Term Assessment and Respite (STAR) homes system.

From my family to yours, I want to take a moment to send my best wishes for the holiday season, and express that it is my sincere honor to represent you and work on issues that matter to our community and Connecticut.

On this Thanksgiving, I wish to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. In this season of reflection, I am especially thankful for friends like you, the joy of shared moments and the support that surrounds us.

Our community is strong thanks to our residents and everyone working together to make our state a great place to live.

We have a great deal to look forward to in the upcoming days with Thanksgiving celebrations, being together with loved ones, and Small Business Saturday just around the corner on November 25. The latter is a great opportunity to support our local entrepreneurs, artisans, and small businesses that make our community unique and vibrant.

The Veterans & Military Affairs Committee is hosting an informational hearing on Wednesday, November 8, at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, Room 2C, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

During this period, individuals can enroll for the first time, renew their coverage, and explore the various policy options to see which will be the most beneficial.
