A reminder for my event TONIGHT on assuming emergency power of attorney!
If your child is 18 or older, you legally cannot make healthcare or financial decisions to save their lives during an emergency!
Assuming Emergency Power of Attorney is critical.
My FREE legal workshop being held TONIGHT, July 31 from 6:30-8pm at the Cheshire Town Hall (84 S Main St.) will:
Explain why, when, and how these legal protections are necessary
Provide the necessary forms
Have free notary services on site to make it legal
and its all FREE
Attorney Nicole Barillaro of Gambardella & Barillaro will be on hand for a Q & A and to walk you through the whole process.
If you'd like to complete the legal paperwork on site, bring your young adult child. You both will need to be present to sign. We will have a notary there to make it legal.
Or you can choose to bring the paperwork home and bring it to your own notary.
If you or your child is unsure, both of you should attend simply to learn.
The concern is not being able to make life and death decisions in case of an accident, mental health crisis, injury, or illness. These protections kick in only when your child is determined to be incapable of making those decisions themselves.
Join us to learn more. Even if your child is not yet 18, get yourself prepared before they leave for college. This event has been created with love. As a parent, I'll be planning the same soon, too.
