House Special Session
November 29, 2022With many families in Connecticut facing added financial strain due to rising prices, the legislature went into special session earlier this week to provide some relief. A bipartisan bill passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Governor Lamont extends the current suspension of the gasoline tax, provides additional funding for energy assistance programs, and continues premium pay for frontline workers.

Rep. Linehan Receives Award for Work in Child Sex Abuse Prevention by The National Sexual Violence Resource Center
October 13, 2022State Representative Liz Linehan was given the "Visionary Voice Award" by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center for her leadership in passing legislation on child sex abuse prevention. Rep. Linehan, a co-Chair of the Committee on Children, has worked diligently to ensure that children in Connecticut are protected, survivors have access to resources to help them heal, and abusers are held accountable.
