Eversource Investigation Developments, COVID-19 Update, 7/31

July 31, 2020

Before getting to the regular coronavirus update I wanted to give you an important update on the ongoing energy pricing issue that has affected Connecticut ratepayers at this critical time.

After the legislature reached out with our concerns, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) ordered Eversource to restore prior rates as of June 30, no later than August 7, while their investigation continues. We have also been informed that PURA is planning a hearing in August.

I will share hearing information and details on how the rate restoration will be implemented as soon as they become available.

Please know that we will continue to work with all parties on viable solutions that address the reasons behind these increases.

I encourage you to contact PURA at 1-800-382-4586 or by email at pura.information@ct.gov with your concerns....
