Rep. Boyd Receives Perfect Score from CBIA for His Voting Record Supporting Pro-Business Policies

September 24, 2021

State Representative Pat Boyd (D – Pomfret, Brooklyn, Eastford, Union, Woodstock) received a 100 percent score from the Connecticut Business and Industry Association for his votes during the 2021 legislative session on key legislation to grow the economy and promote job growth during the state's post-pandemic recovery. The CBIA is the largest association representing the business community in the State of Connecticut.

"I am incredibly honored to receive a 100 percent score from the CBIA on my voting record. We need a strong economy to grow Connecticut," said Rep. Boyd. "As we navigate our post-pandemic recovery, it is vital that we focus on creating opportunities for businesses to thrive and making Connecticut as attractive as possible to do business."

Rep. Boyd was among only 23 members on both sides of the aisle of the 151-member Connecticut House of Representatives to receive a score of 100 percent. The CBIA's criteria focused on nine proposals from the 2021 session that were selected for their impact on the state's business community and the economy.

The CBIA released its annual legislative scorecards on September 13. Many of the bills analyzed were part of the CBIA's Rebuilding Connecticut policy initiative. Rep. Boyd proudly signed on to the pledge, which is a package of common-sense policies focusing on workforce development, investment in infrastructure, small business relief, and more to aid Connecticut's economic recovery from COVID-19.

CBIA is the leading voice for business in the state, representing thousands of member companies, small and large, across a diverse range of industries.

The mission of the CBIA is to make Connecticut a top state for business, jobs, and economic growth: driving change, shaping legislative and regulatory policy, and promoting collaboration between the private and public sectors.
