(#CTTeam 142) to support the Walk to End Alzheimer's

October 6, 2021

As some of you may know, I am leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by hosting a team (#CTTeam 142) to support the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Thank you to the teammates who have already joined - Your support means a lot to me and I am forever grateful!

If you haven't joined, I am asking you to please consider joining us on Sunday, October 10 at Calf Pasture Beach - 48 Calf Pasture Beach Road Norwalk.  Walkers Welcome & Route Opens at 8:30 a.m. | Ceremony at 10 a.m.

I am looking for teammates to come walk with me, talk about things that are important to them for the state of Connecticut and raise money for this important cause.

Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

I am a long supporter of Alzheimer's as my mother, Jacqueline Reis, passed away from the disease in May 2020.  Please consider joining as a team member, even if you cannot financially contribute.  If you cannot participate in the walk, but want to help with the cause, please consider being a Virtual Participant and join to support our team!

Since 1983, the amount of people with Alzheimer's disease has more than doubled. It is often called a family disease because the chronic stress of watching a loved one slowly decline affects everyone.
