Belltown Neighborhood Funding

November 17, 2023

Stamford is receiving $800,000 for the Belltown Neighborhood Connectivity and Safety Project in our district. This grant is aimed to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users. The project encourage people to take an environmentally friendly travel option while connecting them to their communities.

Work on the Belltown Road connectivity and safety project will involve implementing roadway safety improvements on Burdick Street, Upland Road, and Belltown Road.

The funding is part of an $11.7 million investment into 17 towns and cities across the state under the state-funded Community Connectivity Grant. I am grateful that Governor Lamont, the State Bond Commission, and the Connecticut Department of Transportation allocated these funds for Stamford.
