I want to wish all of our students good luck and a happy, safe 2025-26 school year. I hope all of us enjoy Labor Day weekend. Please be safe. Speaking of safe, I've included an item this week on school bus safety. It is important, as is the law in CT for passing a stopped school bus.

We're into the final weeks of the summer. That means back-to-school bashes and Sales Tax-Free Week are right around the corner - and they are.

Our second heat wave of the summer is almost over, but it is still necessary to take precautions, and, most especially, to stay hydrated. Let's make sure our family, friends, and the most vulnerable among us are doing the same.

Several new laws passed during the 2025 legislative session will take effect on Tuesday, July 1.

Thursday, June 19th is Juneteenth!

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in our country.
