May 8, 2025With the House in session this week, I have had the opportunity to pass some important legislation helping New Britain residents and the entire state of Connecticut. I'm proud to be part of a caucus that's putting our money where our mouths are - passing bills focused on improving the environment, supporting workers' rights, and showing our veterans and firefighters the respect they deserve.
Statement on Federal Student Loan Decisions Made by Trump Administration
April 24, 2025The Trump Administration's unrelenting war on middle- and low-income Americans continues with the recent reversal of a decision on student loan repayments, a policy that went into effect five years ago during Trump's first administration. Now, the Department of Education has been charged with sending accounts in default to collections beginning in May.
