Funding for Farmington Ave. Improvements
May 23, 2016I'm happy to announce that I have secured a grant of $1.5 million for the City of Hartford to expand a project making streetscape improvements along Farmington Avenue.
Lyman Hall Athletic Fields Gets Grant
February 8, 2016The State Bond Commission approved $250,000 in funds for Wallingford’s Lyman Hall High School to repair and improve their athletic fields. As Lyman Hall and the Board of Education have worked hard to repair and improve the substandard athletic fields, it is very helpful that the state is also willing to contribute a portion of the cost. Everyone shares an interest in protecting our student athletes.
$2 Million For Upper Albany Main Street, Inc.
January 29, 2016I am pleased that the State Bond Commission approved $2 million in state funding for an Upper Albany Main Street, Inc. building project at its meeting this morning in the Legislative Office Building.
$14.5 Mil For Q House
January 29, 2016The plan to tear down and rebuild Q House today received a shot in the arm – state funding...the State Bond Commission has approved $14.5 million in state funding for the project. Q House is an important community institution. There has been a hole in the Dixwell neighborhood since Q House closed more than 10 years ago.
State Funds For New Haven
January 27, 2016I am excited to announce that the State Bond Commission is expected to approve significant state funding for New Haven at is meeting on Friday January, 29.
State Funding For Momauguin Elementary School
January 27, 2016I am excited to announce that the State Bond Commission is expected to approve a $577,500 state grant for an East Haven school at its meeting scheduled for Friday, January 29.
