This is reminder that if you or someone you know is elderly or disabled and currently renting housing, the Connecticut’s Renters’ Rebate Program deadline to apply is fast approaching. 

The House also acted toward improving equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare by strengthening transparency and monitoring cost growth with HB 5042.

I applaud bond funds approved by the State Bond Commission during its special meeting on Thursday, which total millions for infrastructure improvement projects in Wethersfield and Rocky Hill.

Wethersfield will receive $4 million for improvements to street lighting, public parking and infrastructure throughout the town, and library renovations.

Today, the House of Representatives passed an emergency bill, which will ease some of the financial crush on Newington, Rocky Hill and Wethersfield residents and working families whose wallets and budgets have taken a hit due to rising gas prices and record-breaking inflation levels.

State Representative Kerry Wood announced she has secured $400,000 in funding for updates to Elm Ridge Park and $500,000 to help assist in the redevelopment efforts of the former Ames Headquarters on Main Street following a special meeting of the State Bond Commission on Friday.
