COVID cases are beginning to spike around the state. One way to curb the spread is through frequent testing. Unfortunately, I've heard from many of you that testing lines are incredibly long. The Governor’s office is currently working with local health directors on expanding sites in the region and across the state.  

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced the scheduled closure of the Route 349 Northbound on-ramp (3B) to I-95 southbound in Groton, on Saturday, November 14 from 5 AM to 3 PM.  The closure is necessary to facilitate bridge expansion joint replacement activities.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 northbound in Waterford, New London, and Groton.

I am pleased to announce that the Office of Governor Ned Lamont has awarded Small Town Economic Assistance Program Grants (STEAP) to the Town of Ledyard.

Due to a steady rise in COVID-19 cases, the state will move to a Phase 2.1 reopening plan, a rollback of Phase 3, which will include several, stricter guidelines set to go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Friday, November 6.

The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development just announced a new grant program for small businesses affected by COVID. $50M in Federal Cares Act funds will be appropriated for Connecticut's smallest businesses.

CHC Connecticut announced that they are extending the hours at their COVID testing sites. Most locations are now administering free COVID tests from 8:30 am - 4 pm. No appointment is required.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced a scheduled 24-hour closure of the I-95 southbound on-ramp from Route 349 northbound (Exit 3B) in Groton for paving operations. The closure will begin at 7:00PM on Saturday, October 10.
