Standing Up for My Colleague and Retirement Security Discussion,
August 22, 2025Earlier this week I joined my legislative colleagues to stand in solidarity with my friend and public servant Rep. Corey Paris. He received disgusting death threats after he shared generic information that ICE was present in Stamford. Also, I had the privilege of participating in two union events this week, I was invited to speak about the budget and challenges for our state revenues moving forward.

August 1, 2025New Park Ave & Fenn Rd Day were the next stops on my 20th District business visits! I was honored to receive the Children's Champion Award for my early childhood advocacy. Also, the Women’s Business Development Council has announced the next round of their Ignite and Child Care Business Grant Programs. Plus, there are new E-Bike regulations taking effect this fall.

Mental Health Parity bill signed by the governor
July 11, 2025The Mental Health Parity was bill signed by the governor, this strengthens a prior law which lacked enforcement mechanisms. The AARP CT Livable Communities Grant Program is now accepting nominations. Plus, WeHa Food pantry donation.
Fallen Hero Fund and Climate Action Bill both signed into law
July 7, 2025The Fallen Hero Fund was signed by the governor, it modifies and expands existing state law on survivor benefits. Also signed was the Climate Action Bill which address climate change and environmental protection. Plus, upcoming webinars on CT Paid leave changes.
