The 2025 legislative session officially came to a close, we advanced a budget that puts families first with affordable child care and a child tax credit, legislation that expands services to veterans, transportation bills that make our streets safer, plus reforms that will deliver relief to your electric bill.

Transforming Special Education to deliver better access to services, providing cost controls, and greater transparency. Also, the Housing Reform Bill represents a meaningful step forward in supporting housing needs like housing supply, streamlining regulations, protecting vulnerable residents, and empowering local communities with the tools they need to create solutions. Plus, a towing overhaul that makes it easier for people to get their towed vehicles back and requires towing companies to take more time and increase documentation during the sale process.

The Governor made a Declaration of the Existence of Extraordinary Circumstances this week that led the House to work quickly and effectively to strengthen health coverage for nearly one million elderly, disabled, and low-income children. Also, more Medical Debt Relief is on the way for many and additions to the TRUST Act reinforce immigrant state priorities.

A lot of bills passed the House this week including an education bill that honors civically engaged students, reforms crisis response drills, and much more. Manufacturing Day at the Capitol was a great success for both job interviewees and employers. Plus, we had a little bipartisan fun at the 4th Annual Kickball Tournament.
