Governor Activates Severe Cold Weather Protocol
January 17, 2024Governor Lamont has announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a period of extremely cold weather resulting in very low wind chill values over the next several days, he is directing the state’s severe cold weather protocol to go into effect Wednesday afternoon (1/17) and remaining in effect through noon on Monday (1/22).

The pomp and pageantry of the day (January 4) turned to grief overnight as we learned of the tragic passing of our friend and colleague, Quentin "Q" Williams. I grieve for what he could've become in his political and professional careers. I grieve for his widow Carrissa and his family. And I miss my friend.
