I am proud to share the House unanimously passed a bill strengthening and expanding support for Connecticut Veterans in several important ways.

I visited Gulf Shrimp Co. on Atwater Street as my third stop on my Tour of Southington Businesses. It’s clear that Gulf Shrimp plays a vital role in Connecticut’s hospitality industry, serving as both a retailer and wholesaler providing fresh seafood to more than 400 restaurants statewide.

I attended the ribbon cutting at Bradley Memorial Hospital, celebrating both the expansion of geriatric and palliative care services and the relocation and expansion of Hartford HealthCare’s Sleep Center.

I was honored to attend the ribbon-cutting for Van Wilgen’s Garden Center as owners Ryan and Kate celebrated the grand opening of their new Southington location.

The Public Safety & Security Committee is debating bills to improve cybersecurity protections, support law enforcement training, and expand firefighter cancer screening programs.

I was honored to help organize a homecoming celebration for our hometown Olympian, Austin Florian, at Mouth Southington.

On Tuesday, March 3, I will join the Veterans' and Military Affairs Committee for a public hearing on several important bills, including one that would provide free dental care for eligible Connecticut veterans.
