This week the State Librarian, Deborah Schander, visited Southington and we had the opportunity to tour the library building project that is currently underway, meet with architects and the construction crew, and receive an update on their progress, including the addition and upgrades to the "exterior look" being funded by the $5 million in state bonding that the town received last year.

Connecticut Ag Day at the State Capitol was a delight this week, especially because it offered some time for a visit with Southington’s Agriculture Science students and their teacher, Patrick O’Keefe. It was great to hear about their interests and the premier Ag Sci program that we proudly host at Southington High School.
