Advocates, Hartford Legislators, the Mayor and City Council have been working to keep the lights on at the detox and treatment center at Blue Hills Hospital.

I recently met at the Connecticut Hospital Association with more than 30 healthcare leaders from across the continuum of care to discuss a variety of issues, including the state’s bipartisan budget and Medicaid reimbursement rates.

The state committed almost $2 million to help clean up Homestead Avenue and redevelop old industrial sites.

Connecticut families, currently on the waitlist, can start enrolling in the Care 4 Kids program, the state’s primary child care support program.

The House of Representatives approved a bipartisan state budget 126-23.

For the first time in a decade, Democrats and Republicans have put together a truly bipartisan budget.
