I wanted to provide a recap of this week's special session. The House went in on Wednesday, followed by the Senate on Thursday.

All Connecticut SNAP recipients have access to their FULL November benefits on their EBT cards.

The federal government continues to attack middle and low-income families. It is a sustained effort. Hundreds of thousands of state residents are set to see their SNAP benefits cut at the end of the month. I go into more detail and have included helpful resource information.

I am very excited about tonight's Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration, "Celebrating our Collective Heritage: Past, Present & Future" at HRA beginning at 6 p.m.!

Several measures passed during the 2025 legislative session will take effect on Wednesday, October 1, including an update to our motorcycle and e-bike laws that reflect our continued efforts to promote public safety and adapt to emerging technologies on our roads.

Tomorrow, we remember the 2,996 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the thousands who have died since due to exposure to toxic chemicals, and the countless lives that were forever changed.
