We're into the final weeks of the summer. That means back-to-school bashes and Sales Tax-Free Week are right around the corner - and they are.

Our second heat wave of the summer is almost over, but it is still necessary to take precautions, and, most especially, to stay hydrated. Let's make sure our family, friends, and the most vulnerable among us are doing the same.

Thursday, June 19th is Juneteenth!

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in our country.

It's Memorial Day Weekend!

First and foremost, let's this opportunity to reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Let's honor their service. May their memory be a blessing. Secondly, please be safe. I've included some safety tips that may be helpful. I've also added information about the big statewide job fair coming to New Britain in June.

With the House in session this week, I have had the opportunity to pass some important legislation helping New Britain residents and the entire state of Connecticut. I'm proud to be part of a caucus that's putting our money where our mouths are - passing bills focused on improving the environment, supporting workers' rights, and showing our veterans and firefighters the respect they deserve.
