We had a great discussion this past week on homeschooling, a productive Mock Legislative Session Day, and a call to pay student teachers in an effort to reverse the decline in teacher prep enrollment. Due to a system outage, Access Health CT has extended the deadline to sign up for health and dental coverage. The state will be using $70 Million from the emergency response fund to Protect Health Insurance, and Medical Debt relief is on the way for qualifying individuals.

The deadline to sign up for Access Health CT coverage beginning January 1, 2026 is fast approaching, now is the time to review your options and complete the enrollment process. Also, take time to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who served, and TEACH the next generation the value of freedom on Wreaths across America Day.

The state's severe weather protocol has been activated for the first time this season. The first week of December is Older Driver Safety Awareness Week and we have some tips to keep older drivers safe. Plus, the newly formed Early Childhood Education Endowment is holding a Public Hearing.
