Rep. Cook Applauds $3 Million in State Funding for Brownfield Remediation in Torrington
January 7, 2022State Representatives Michelle Cook (D – Torrington) and Maria Horn (D – Canaan, Cornwall, Goshen, Kent, Norfolk, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Torrington) applauded Governor Ned Lamont's announcement Thursday that the town will receive $3 million to remediate two sites at 70 North Street and 245 East Elm Street.
Access Health CT Enrollment Deadline Extended for Coverage Starting Jan. 1
December 17, 2021Connecticut residents have more time to enroll in a health insurance plan through Access Health CT for coverage starting with the new year! Residents who enroll between December 16 and December 31 can choose between coverage starting on January 1, 2022 or February 1, 2022. Those who enroll between January 1, 2022 and January 15, 2022 will have coverage starting on February 1, 2022.
Access Health CT Waives Requirement for Group Health Insurance Plans
December 9, 2021From now until December 15, small businesses in Connecticut can obtain group health insurance regardless of the number of employees who enroll thanks to Access Health CT's Employee Participation Waiver Period. Any local small business with 50 employees or less that is not currently enrolled through Access Health CT Small Business can participate.
Access Health CT Open Enrollment Begins Nov. 1
October 29, 2021Good news! If you are looking for good, quality, healthcare the annual Access Health CT Open Enrollment Period begins this Monday, November 1 and runs through January 15, 2022. Residents can shop, compare, and enroll in health insurance coverage for the 2022 plan year.

This approval will significantly bolster our state efforts to uplift homeless individuals across Connecticut.
Remembering September 11
September 9, 2021This Saturday marks 20 years since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon, and Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives on the morning of September 11, 2001 and many more, including first responders, have died from health complications in the years following the attacks. September 11th remains one of the darkest and deadliest days in U.S. history.
