During times of crisis, we come together like no one else. I am launching an effort with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to honor our friends and neighbors who are going above and beyond.

I am sure everyone has heard how hard it is for our local restaurants during this time and I know there are many people are supporting these wonderful establishments. Thank you for helping – we need to be there for them to make sure that they can survive this period so that when it is safe to relax these social distancing rules, they are there for us. With kids getting a well deserved break from their distance learning, I thought that it would be good to pull together some resources to entertain yourselves during this time off and maybe try some new restaurants.

As you may know, the CDC is now recommending that people wear cloth face masks based off of studies showing that wearing these masks can help reduce the spread of Coronavirus.

The CT National Guard and members of the Governor's Foot & Horse Guard have been hard at work providing emergency support to the state since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, including their recent work at Stamford Hospital re-purposing the Wheeler Building on the Bennett Medical Center campus as an alternative care site.

An additional 362 Connecticut residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 5,276. To date, more than 22,029 tests have been conducted in Connecticut among both state and private laboratories. 

The Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) has issued simple guidance in both English and Spanish for stores and grocery stores regarding safety measures contained in Governor Lamont's Executive Order 7S.
