This week, my colleagues and I were back in session voting on judicial, executive & legislative nominations.

Great news! The Stamford delegation was able to secure funding for its harbors and marinas.

My legislative responsibilities in Hartford have been keeping me busy, but I am happy to provide an update on the gun control legislation voted out of the Judiciary committee, the bills I am working on, forums I have attended, and upcoming events within in our community.

Warmer days and brighter times are right around the corner, and In next few months we will see the leaves and flowers start to bloom. It is my sincerest hope that you will have the opportunity to spend this time making lasting memories with your friends and loved ones.

Earlier this week, my colleagues and I highlighted $2.4 million in Community Investment Funds that will be used for the construction of 39 affordable housing units at 41-45 Stillwater Avenue.

Tax filing season is upon us. As you prepare to file, I urge you to be mindful of potential scams. The IRS produces a list of "dirty dozen" tax scams.  While these scams can occur year-round, they tend to increase during this time of the year. It’s wise to stay on top of the latest list of common issues—and take some simple steps to stay safe from them.

Personal care attendants (PCAs) will have additional access to affordable health insurance after an agreement was reached to expand the application deadline for PCAs to apply for the first round of the new premium assistance benefit.
