The Legislative Session has started! I was at the capitol today so that we can convene what will be a productive session.

With the legislative session just around the corner on Wednesday, February 7th, I am committed to keeping you informed and engaged in the democratic process.

Today is the start of Black History Month. This is a very important time for us to recognize and celebrate our history, culture, and future so that we can understand the diversity that is so central to our country.

I had the pleasure of speaking at the Bristol Senior Center about the state's new prescription medicine discount program, ArrayRX.

On MLK Day, I attended the annual Rev. Dr. M.L. King and Rev. Dr. E.C. Whitehead Scholarship Breakfast hosted by the Greater Bristol Branch of the NAACP. I offered some thoughts that I hope will be something for Bristol to reflect on moving forward.

I'd like to share some exciting news to start off the new year! As a result of fiscal responsibility and bipartisanship in 2023, I am pleased to announce that significant relief is on the way for many Connecticut taxpayers in 2024!

As we ring in the new year, there are some laws that become effective on January 1 that were passed during the 2023 legislative session addressing key issue areas including early voting, health and mental health, and online privacy and data protection.

I had a great time hosting the Energy Assistance Discussion at the Bristol Senior Center. Our special panelists, Operation Fuel, HRA of New Britain, and the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), all contributed to a very informative conversation that I hope benefited everyone.
