I want to inform you about an important project initiated by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) to improve the safety of unsignalized municipally owned and maintained intersections in Stratford. 

This project aims to implement signing and pavement marking improvements at higher crash-risk, stop-controlled intersections. By applying these low-cost, proven safety countermeasures, the goal is to significantly reduce the potential for future crashes in our community. 

The design plans for this project are well underway and are expected to be completed by June 2025. Following the completion of the design phase, the project is anticipated to be advertised in September 2025.

The CTDOT values your input and wants to ensure that your feedback is heard and included throughout this process. While it is currently anticipated that an informal meeting or formal public hearing will not be necessary, it is encouraged to reach out if you have any questions or comments regarding this project.
