VIDEO: Connecticut's Modernized Deposit Return System

Connecticut revitalized its recycling refund system, or bottle bill, by making the program more convenient for the public, doubling the deposit from $0.05 to $0.10, and expanding eligible containers. This has led to a 30% increase in container redemption so far, putting the program on a path to recycle approximately 2 billion containers annually.
