Gregg Haddad

Representative Gregg Haddad, who introduced HB 7000, An Act Equalizing Access to Student-Generated Financial Aid, has been a strong advocate of students.

Haddad issued the following statement after his committee’s approval of the bill:

“I am happy that HB 7000, An Act Equalizing Access to Student-Generated Financial Aid, has been passed out of the Higher Education Committee. It ensures that all college students who pay into the institutional aid fund can access it for financial aid, if they have demonstrated need, and without being disqualified because of their immigration status. I thank the students who have come out to support the bill. Now, the legislation has to be passed in the House and Senate. I encourage you to call your state representative and state senator from your home districts to ask them to support this bill on the floor.”
