Resurfacing Project
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 1 in Westport and Fairfield beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing over a mile of Route 1 in Westport and Fairfield. This project is scheduled to continue through Monday, June 15, 2020. This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2020 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 from Maple Avenue to Kings Lane. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
